Blackadder Goes Forth
These six episodes of this last of the Blackadder saga are being shown over the next three weeks, two at a time, on BBC4.

For posters too young to have seen it originally don’t miss this opportunity and if stuck for time make a point of at least seeing the final episode.

Best comedy of all time for me, with an incredibly perfect cast*

Absolutely brilliant and crazy that it ended 29 years ago!

*series 1 is obviously fucking atrocious.

Grumps, there is, I felt, one "stand out" episode in series 1 - "The Queen of Spain's Beard", I think it's called. A pointer to the following 4 series.

Re: Blackadder Goes Forth
I doubt I've seen series 1 since I was a youngster Mike and my school going teenage self may not have appreciated it.

Probably watched the other 3 series a good 10 times.

The final episode when they go over the top and the poppies appear, never fails to get goosebumps out of me.

The final scene should be compulsory viewing every November 11th.

Not much brings a tear to the eye but that does.

Brilliant show.

Ending is one of the most memorable moments in British television history.
